Workaholics Anonymous—A 12-Step Program of Recovery and Personal Transformation (Cheat Sheet)

Do you have this problem, too?

As you’ve probably learned by now, I write about what I am working on improving in my life. If you recall from my first post on this subject (January 6th), I admitted to being a card-carrying workaholic and talked about how being one was limiting the potential of my productivity.

I then reviewed all the notes and training I have studied on productivity improvement, and interrogated many of the superachievers you see on the cover of SUCCESS about how they manage their day, their business and their personal life. The result has been a collection of the very best ideas, strategies and tactics on how to go from moderate success to true superachievement.

Here is the problem, though: Every day, I wake up and have to fight my old patterns and tendencies and take on the firestorms that are thrown my way. I’m either not practicing what I have been preaching here or, worst yet, am forgetting the key lessons. I have often even come to my blog to review my own instruction to see what I’ve forgotten or haven’t been practicing.

So, to help me practice these productivity strategies, I created a cheat sheet of the key points. Now, each morning when I start my day, each evening when I am planning out the next day, and throughout the day when I feel like I am spinning or getting off track, I review my cheat sheet.

I figured I can’t be the only one (hey, I’m even the author!) so I decided to share it with you in the hopes it will help you as it is has me.

P.S. Yes, I will update this document when we finish all 12 steps. I just couldn’t wait until the end to get myself back on track!
