Lifetime Moms with Spark & Hustle

SUCCESS.com has partnered with Lifetime Moms to introduce you to some outstanding women. These women are a lot like you—they range from stay-at-home moms to successful career women, entrepreneurs and CEOs of their homes. They all attended Tory Johnson’s Spark & Hustle women’s conference this summer to learn more about growing their small business and found they learned something about themselves. We’ll feature one Lifetime Moms attendee from each city’s stop on the Spark & Hustle conference.

Meet Shari Zatman

“The most important things in life aren’t things.”

The Pittsburgh mom of twin sons, Alex and Ryan, appreciates order and organization. As the owner of a boutique event planning firm, Perfectly Planned by Shari, Shari has been named by Wedding Wire and The Knot as a Best Of and Bride’s Choice. Clearly, she’s good at what she does. She can tell you how to up the elegance of any room with linen tablecloths.  She can offer great ideas for children’s birthday party themes. She can even spout off the top bridal hair trends of 2012.

What she can’t do is get her puppy completely potty trained. “This is the first time I’ve ever had a dog,” Shari says. “And now I am trying to navigate how to raise a puppy and train it. It’s difficult.”

Shari attended Tory Johnson’s Spark & Hustle women’s entrepreneur tour to find more inspiration as a working mother. “I wanted to hear what other women do and how they have achieved success with work/life balance,” she says. What she found was many women in a variety of industries, making their lives work one day at a time.

“Sometimes you have to think outside the box to achieve even greater success,” Shari says.

She’s balancing her role as wife, mother and business owner with grace and appearance of ease, just like the elaborate weddings she plans. A bride recently told Shari the Catholic-Bollywood glam wedding she planned was perfect.

If Shari can mix a traditional Catholic wedding with Bollywood, who is to say she can’t train that puppy?
